Down Sea Reach - A voyage from Gravesend to The Medway aboard Thames sailing barge Edith May
Following a weekend of beautiful weather running sailing experiences at Gravesend, Kent, UK, as part of Estuary Festival 2021, it was time to take the barge back to our home port on the Medway.
This journey involves negotiating one of the most famous and busiest commercial rivers in the world - the Thames and the broad expanses of Sea Reach.
The day started off looking like it was going to be a straightforward sail home, but the fickle winds had other ideas...
