A muddy and content baby elephant - Khanyisa's evening in the elephant orphanage

Tired and very muddy from a day out with her new family, Khanyisa returned to the orphanage, welcomed by fresh fruit from Reply and welcome baaaaack from Lammie🐑🐑!

One big plus is that we don't have to wash her every night, as the mud is excellent for her skin, and creates natural bug protection as well as sunscreen prepped and ready for the next day! Don't our children wish they could get away with that!? 😆
After some time in the orphanage gardens with Adine and Lammie, Khanyisa guzzled down a well-deserved bottle of milk formula from her friend and care, Reply. It wasn't long before she laid her body down, and drifted off into a deep sleep, feeling safe, protected and very much loved.
