Q) I've been charged with a DUI but my understanding is most cases are plead out if this is true do I still need to hire an attorney?

A) the answer is yes just because you were drinking and just because you were driving does not mean you're guilty of DUI the biggest saying that I have for criminal defense is it's never about what happened it's about what the state can prove so if in their proof of whatever you did for a DUI they somehow violated your rights then they don't get to use that inform so if they violated your rights in taking your your blood which which shows that there's alcohol in your blood well they don't get to use your blood now all they have is the fact that you were driving and then there's no information about the drinking just because the idea that that a lot of these are plead out doesn't mean anything you should still always hire an attorney for these types of cases
