Anterior Compartment Weakness and Dropfoot Athletic Taping Technique using athletic tape and elastoplast tape.

This athletic taping technique is great for lower leg weakness, dorsiflexion weakness, dropfoot, and tendinitis (tendonitis) of the extensors (anterior compartment) of the lower leg and ankle.

This athletic taping technique will last longer when used with a brace and tennis shoes.

You want to make sure you are using some sort of elastic tape such as elasoplast to help assist your ankle with dorsiflexion (extension) as well as mimic the natural motion of the ankle. I do not use KT/ kinesio tape for this as I like the strength of elastoplast and classic athletic tape when trying to control motion of the lower leg, ankle, and foot. This anterior compartment weakness and dropfoot athletic taping technique takes some practice but after a few athletic taping tutorials and some repitition you will be able to complete this athletic taping technique in about 5-10 minutes!

This athletic taping technique is also good for tibialis anterior tendinitis (tendonitis), foot / ankle extensor tendinitis, and weakness.
