My furbaby Mona's Brain Tumor Treatment Journey

Hello everybody, This is my fur baby Mona.She is a 7 yr old/7 mos boxer. She started yelping early this year when her face/nose/body is touched but it was not consistent.Took her to her primary vet which is Banfield.They said they couldn't find anything wrong with her..Since boxer is known for having an inflamed/extra gums, they suggested to do a dental exam because maybe thats the cause of her yelping, her gums.This was May of 2023...After the dental they said her gums are not bad.Mona also have thick bridges on her spine which was found during her Xray last August 2022.. Her yelping became more and more as months passed by.And I noticed knuckling of her left Limb and head tilt around September of this year. I took her to City Vet maybe they can find out whats wrong with her. They did a physical exam and did not find anything wrong .So I showed them the Xray that Banfield took last August 2022 and CityVet vet told me that this looks very painful due to her having thick bridges.Vet prescribed Rimadyl for life and Rejensa for joint support.I only gave Mona Rimadyl every after few days because I worry about the side effects.Mona felt better after taking it but it didnt fix her really..Rimadyl is only a pain medication.So I took her back to Banfield due to weakness on legs, knuckling on left limb and head tilt so they recommended to see a Neurologist..We had a MRI yesterday and finally we have an answer..Mona have a tumor on her spine as seen on pic below :(..Neurologist gave us 3 options, Surgery, Radiation Therapy and Palliative Care...Surgery is invasive and have a lot of risks due to the location of the tumor..She can die on the operating table and or post Ops ( cost might be at least 20k US$)..Radiation Therapy can extend her life to 1.5 to 2 years ( cost 5k to 15k US$)..Palliative Care is making her comfortable with steroids.It will not cure the tumor but can stop the growth for few mos and eventually steroids will stop working..With palliative care she was given 3 to 6 mos to live :(
