Japanese Maple Tree Zen Garden in 4K Resolution

Though better known for its stunning azalea display in April, the Buddhist temple Daikozenji in Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan, is also called “the maple tree temple”. In mid to late November the steep slopes of this vast woodland garden are aflame with the fall colors of hundreds of japanese maple trees. Maple trees make up much of the low subcanopy here, below towering Japanese cedars and the occasional ginkgo. As a bonus, the central garden area is lite up at night, and dozens of carved bamboo lanterns add to the magic of this visual wonderland. Please come along and enjoy a tour of this garden one sunny afternoon, and also later that same day in the early evening.
