This was another learning project; discovering a load of mistakes and how not to make them next time! In particular was the trapping of air within "umbrella-like" pieces, which I have ideas of how to avoid in future.

There are many alternatives to the materials needed, as advised below. I've been trialing different epoxy resins and for delivery in the UK, the Dipon Epoxyplast 3D B100 is currently the best I've found for pouring up to 10 cm without the need to remove surface bubbles. In the US, the FGCI Superclear 2.0 Liquid Glass has received excellent reviews. Make sure you get some decent epoxy resin for your projects and avoid disappointment!!
