A growing number of people in China are turning to AI technology to seek comfort from the loss of loved ones. With the help of companies specialising in so-called ghost bots, they can reconnect with their deceased family members. The companies can create thousands of avatars based on as little as 30 seconds of audiovisual content of the deceased.
