Black-backed jackals in the Kalahari

Two black-backed jackals have a tense stand-off. This is just after the jackal on the right had chased the one on the left. Their interaction makes me think this may be a parent and grown offspring, that is not quite welcome back home. The jackal on the right has its hackles up and ears back, while swishing its tail in agitation. Eventually, the two jackals go their own ways.
