Spotted hyenas feeding on a wildebeest carcass
Spotted hyenas feeding on a freshly killed wildebeest calf just before down near the start of the annual wildebeest migration. In total, they devour the calf in about thirty minutes until at the end of the video only the head is left. A high-ranking subadult grabs the head and runs off with it. Spotted hyenas are excellent hunters and you can identify which hyenas made the kill by the amount of blood on their heads and chests.
