Spotted hyena aggressions after a cognition trial

This video has nice audio of spotted hyena vocalizations and also captured a few high-intensity aggressions. DANG, a high-ranking female, bites and holds on BLG when BLG tries to steal a meat scrap during a moment that DANG was distracted. You can hear both AMRL and BLG giggle, a submissive vocalization, and BLG defensive growls when DANG won't let go. Aggressions of this high intensity are not common occurences and DANG loses the meat scrap to other subadults by focusing on BLG. JAVA, the collared female, is DANG's mother; she rushes in near the end to support her daughter. The hyenas' bristle tails indicate excitement.
