A Nightingale Sang in Berkeley Square - Brass Band

A romantic song written in 1939, with music by Manning Sherwin and lyrics by Eric Maschwitz. This is my arrangement for brass band, based on the Glenn Miller recording.

Instrumentation (left to right): Soprano Cornet in Eb, Solo Cornet, Repiano Cornet, 2nd Cornet, 3rd Cornet, Flugelhorn, Solo Horn, 1st Horn, 2nd Horn, Baritone, 1st Trombone, 2nd Trombone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium, Eb Tuba.

In the video I play the Eupho and Tuba parts on my Flugel down one and two octaves respectively. And the Baritone part on my Valve Trombone. There are also a few parts not shown in the video (but are heard in the recording): 2nd Baritone, Bb Tuba, Vibraphone, and Tubular Bells. They got the cut due to lack of screen real estate.

A big thank you to Sarah Johnson for kindly lending me her Soprano Cornet for this recording. And the City of Perth Brass Band for introducing me to the Tenor Horn! You may notice this arrangement makes particular use of the horn section. :-)
