‘Big mountain man’ Malcolm Turnbull had ‘big mountain dreams’ for Snowy 2.0

Sky News host Chris Kenny has called Malcolm Turnbull the “big mountain man with those big mountain dreams” in reference to the “debacle” of the Snowy 2.0 project.

Mr Kenny’s comments come after the ABC’s Four Corners program released a “pretty compelling piece” about how poorly the project was run.

“From the get-go, he was keen to hurry it along – feasibility studies or not,” he said.

“Now the project is literally bogged down. Its massive and expensive tunnel-boring machine ‘Florence’ stuck under the mountain as the bills mount.”

Mr Kenny had high praise for the program’s investigation, saying “It was a good report, picking up on an issue we’ve been highlighting on this program all year”.
