This is my first real song I written since I got the MIDI-keyboard. I though I should be able to create something really cool using only the black keys, so I used trial and error to come up with a cool melody using only black keys and by playing with both left and right hand. I tried to find intervals between notes that sounded good. Eventually, I came up with some basic ones, which I recorded and then I picked up this idea about a week later. The beggning of this song consits of the ideas in the early stage. Then I started adding notes for the piano in Logic to make it more advanced. When making adding melodies in logic I wanted to use more notes than onyl the black keys, so I figured out that this was in the key of F# major.

I eventually wanted to add guitar for some simple backgorund fills, but it ended up beeing an essential part of the song. When the beggining was written I mainely used logic and guitar, not the keyboard that much. In the end of the song I had so many ideas on how I could end it, but nothing feelt really right. I recorded piano and guitar for an alternative ending but I ended up deleting it the next day. Looking back to it now I think that I overthinked and planed to much. For some reason I randomely descided to play the the F# chord with the bridge pickup on my strat. I ususally never use the bridge pickup for chords but it felt right. Then I randomely picked up my tele and I quickly descided on the pickups and then I just played something. It ended up beeing really nice, I think. I write these reoports for myself in order to remember that good ideas seems to be unable to fully plan, and they come randomely.

One final thing I want to to to myself is that everytime I sat down and worked on this during the week, I made successfull, unforced progress, eventough I didn’t always feel extremele motivated when everytime I started to work on it.

Another note to myself: I coincidentally used some random D'addario strings on the strat which I normally don't use.
