The Toyota LandCruiser is an off-road champion, no doubt about that.

But does the new LC300 GR Sport – a new sporty, Dakar Rally-inspired variant touted as the most off-road capable of the new 300 Series line-up – deserve all of the hype?

We took it on a full-bore, hard-core off-road test to find out. Diffs locked, drive modes tested, CRAWL control activated, suspension articulation explained, ground clearance covered, approach, break-over and departure angles assessed, twin-turbo diesel V6 engine and 10-speed auto transmission put through their paces... this is Crafty basically going full send on this new Cruiser wagon.
