Kia Sorento hybrid review: Turbo petrol-electric 2022 seven-seater GT-Line rival to Toyota Kluger

Seven seats with a hybrid drivetrain? Until recently, your only option this side of a premium brand wore Toyota badges. Firstly with the Prius V people mover and more recently with the Kluger SUV. Now your options have expanded thanks to Kia, with the recent introduction of the plug-in hybrid Sorento PHEV, and now the parallel of ‘sef-charging’ Sorento Hybrid. You won’t find such technology aboard a Hyundai Santa Fe, Hyundai Palisade, Mazda CX-9 or Nissan Pathfinder just yet.
