2022 Lexus LX pricing and features: Land Cruiser 300 Series-based luxury 4x4 (LX 500d, LX 600)

The all-new Lexus LX 2022 luxury 4WD is much more than just a pimped up version of the Toyota Land Cruiser 300 Series. It might be based on the same underpinnings as Toyota's new-generation off-road hero, but the 2022 Lexus LX offers a very different approach with a different buyer in mind.
The model range in Australia will be offered in both LX 500d diesel (with the same 227kW/700Nm 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6 seen in the LC300), but unlike its Toyota LC300 cousin, the Lexus version will also be sold with a petrol powertrain - a 3.5-litre twin-turbo V6 gasoline unit, pumping out 305kW/650Nm - in the LX 600 models.
Oddly, the petrol models will cost more than the diesels, and there's a flagship Ultra Luxury model that pushes the LX model range into uncharted territory in terms of opulence and the price being asked... more than $200,000!
