Waste to Wealth Uganda Success Story 5
Waste is a common problem plaguing many urban areas of sub-Saharan Africa. Rapid urbanisation of the region has lead to strains on the employment demands and infrastructure resulting in many slums facing multiple social, environmental, and economic issues. Uncollected waste litters the environment and job opportunities are seriously lacking. Waste to Wealth tackles both these issues as an innovative project that literally does turn waste into wealth. Produced by our in-country project partner, Living Earth Uganda, see how five enterprises have benefited from this project and done just that - turned waste into wealth.
