Agitation In The Hairless Chimp Group

It's noisy again at the chimp enclosure. They are agitated because some of the chimps are in the back room. They are getting introduced to the remaining chimps on the other side. So hopefully the two separated groups can become one in the not-so-distant future. The staff is taking their time to ensure a smooth transition.

Jambo the Hairless chimpanzee, who is also the Alpha male, is running around and kicking the window. When he pouts his lips he is running towards the big glass window, jumps up and kicks the window with both his feet.
Hairless Chimp Jambo (38) enjoys some snow and ice. A little glimpse of his mother Coco (56) enjoying a little cold snack as well.
Jambo who has alopecia, a form of hair loss was born on the 9th June 1982.
He started to lose his ear in November 2018, when he had a fight and his mum Coco ripped it. Twycross zoo tried to glue it back on with skin glue, but unfortunately, as time went past he picked on it that much that he lost all of it. His mum is Coco, also a brown chimpanzee was born in 1965. Coco's offspring are Jambo and his half-sister Charlotte. She was born on 28 Sep 1978. Jambo has more siblings at Twycross from his father's side who is William born on the 30th of June 1982, Holly was born on the 27th of December 1982 and Jomar was born on the 28th of December 1990.
