In this video, we discuss padding. When you encrypt a ciphertext using a block cipher, the last block may be of a different size than the cipher's block size. In this case, we pad. Here, we discuss different padding modes in detail as well as have a look at these in CrypTool 2.
Padding modes we discuss:
- “None”
- 0-Padding
- 1-0-Padding
- ANSI X9.23 Padding
- ISO 10126 Padding
- PKCS#7 Padding
