Green Kayak is a company that offers free kayaks in several spots around the city. In exchange for the free rental, all they ask is that you collect any litter you see floating in the water as you go. They provide everything you need to get paddling and to keep Copenhagen's waters clean!

I couldn't wait to try this out and one sunny Monday, I finally got to kayak through the canals myself. Come along as I paddle my way through some famous Copenhagen spots like Nyhavn, Christianshavn, Frederiksholms Kanal, find some scary underwater mermaid statues, and see just HOW MUCH trash I managed to collect 😱
