Curator Conversations - Stories of the Marshals - Fort Smith NHS - July 31, 2020

In this edition of Curator Conversations, we are talking with Cody Faber, Park Ranger, Fort Smith NHS. We talk about the history of Fort Smith (the fort, not the city), the role of the US Marshals in that history and the importance of the Western District of Arkansas in the history of the Five Tribes and Indian Territory.

=========================
The United States Marshals Museum is a national museum located on the riverfront in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Once open, we will tell the story of our nation’s oldest federal law enforcement agency from its establishment by President George Washington through current day. The Museum will honor the sacrifice of Marshals killed in the line of duty, as well as those who continue to place their lives in harm’s way as they enforce the Constitution.
