This large old stone Tuscan farmhouse was restored by the current owners and retains original features with all modern comforts. No expense has been spared. It commands spectacular views of the Casentino Mountains.

Access is via a paved road of approximately 200m. The parking area is screened by olive trees and accessed by an electric remote controlled gate, next to the parking area is underground GPL gas tank and Wi-Fi and TV satellite dish. Opposite the front of the house and under the terrace by the parking area is the technical room which houses the gas boiler. The well is neatly hidden under the lawn.

On the ground floor, there is a large kitchen (24.5msq) with elegant tile flooring, hand-made fitted Tuscan style wooden units and travertine marble work surfaces. Adjacent to the kitchen is laundry/storage room.

Doors lead from the kitchen to a large living room (20.4msq) with exposed stone walls and access to the terrace (2.68m x 5.18). Leading on from this room is a 33msq living room with fireplace. We were first shown the house in 2007. Although run down and unoccupied at the time, we immediately saw its potential. Over 200 years old, we loved its position, large rooms, stone staircase, the loggia and the big windows. We liked the privacy but also its proximity to the road. It has the added advantage of being set in church land, surrounded by woods and fields but without the maintenance costs for a larger estate. It was also an easy journey with the house just over an hour?s drive down the A1 from Florence Peretola Airport. Talla just 2km down the valley also provides a thriving village with shops and restaurants for convenience with Arezzo just 20 minutes? drive to the north. The restoration was completed in 2011. We worked with a local architect and craftsmen to restore the house to its former glory. We wanted to create a Tuscan home for us to visit with family and friends. The house has been just that and has been a great location for our children to grow up, to swim play and explore in summer months whilst cosy in the colder months with its central heating and real fire. The area provides a truly Tuscan feeling with the locals very friendly and helpful.
