Koko Jumps on the Bed

In this video we see Koko’s playful side. She jumps on the bed and then takes a break to play with a doll and toy alligator. Koko creates an imaginative play scenario in which the alligator bites (or kisses!) her baby doll. After a little more jumping with Penny, Koko requests that they lie down together and take a break. Penny and Koko’s close bond is on display here. Together they exemplified the potential for interspecies connection and communication, leaving a lasting impact on our understanding of great apes and their emotional lives.
