In this video we unbox the Leviton Smart Dimmer Light Switch With Alexa Built in. This smart light switch is unique in that it no only works with Alexa but it also has Alexa built into the light switch meaning that it has Alexa microphones and Alexa speakers built into the light switch. So the light switch will work as both an Alexa Device and as a smart light switch.

The smart light switch connects to standard home wifi networks and allows you to control it via your phone or with your voice. The Alexa smart light switch is also compatible with Google Home devices.

The smart light switch with Alexa built functions as a dimmer switch and will work with LED, CFL and incandescent light bulbs. The light switch has two buttons to control dimmer functionality. You can tap the top button to turn on the light switch and the bottom button to turn off the light switch. If you press and hold either button you can adjust the dimming levels of the light switch.

There is a third button on the light switch which also functions as a mute button for the light switch with Alexa built in. When you press the button all Alexa features are disabled.

The Alexa Leviton smart light switch also has a built in circuit breaker that allows you to isolate the light fixture connected to it to make it safer to change a light bulb.

The Alexa Light switch is also a 3 way compatible light switch. It also requires a neutral for installation.
