Albert’s father and uncle were both executioners (hangman) Albert’s father died when he was a teenager, his uncle then took him on as an assistant.

Albert Pierrepoint is suspected to have executed between 430 - 600 people within a 25 year span. Albert was a British hangman during WWII and executed numerous war criminals.

Albert Pierrepoint was born on March 20th 1905 and died in July 10th 1992 at the age of 87
