So you’ve been talking to this guy for a little while. He seems cool, interesting, attractive: the whole package and it seems like you two are really getting along. But then you start to notice that he’s not reaching out to you as often as he used to. It seems like you always have to be the one to text first and you’re seeing him less and less. That’s right...he’s pulling away.

Today I’m going to tell you what to do when a guy pulls away and how to avoid the MASSIVE MISTAKE that so many women make when a guy pulls away that completely ruins their chances with him and drives him away, never to return.

So before we dive into the major mistake that many women make when a guy pulls away, let’s take a step back and talk about what makes guys pull away in the first place. There are actually a few reasons that men will pull away and they can vary greatly depending on how seriously the two of you have been with one another. Let’s start with guys pulling away early on. Like super early on, when the two of you have first met and just barely started talking.

At this early stage, I hate to break it to you, but there’s a good chance that you’re not the only woman that he’s talking to. So it could be that things started progressing with someone else, he’s not noticing there’s chemistry, or he simply forgot.

The biggest reason that men tell me they pull away, or disengage with talking to a girl on a dating app, is that the women just don’t seem interested and don’t make any effort to further the conversation. You may be just trying to play hard to get but there’s a good chance that he just reads this as disinterest.

The other option, and one that is actually pretty common in ANY stage of your relationship, is that he’s just busy. Revolutionary, I know. But oftentimes when men pull away it’s just because they have too much going on to be able to keep in touch with you the way they’d like. This actually ties in big to the mistake we’ll talk about later.

So, moving on to the reasons that guys pull away from talking to you when the two of you have been on a couple dates. These reasons can be more difficult to pin down as they can vary from one guy to another.

I want you to think back to your last date. Did things go well? Was he talking about another? Did it seem like the two of you were hitting it off? If your last date was a bit lackluster and he started pulling away after that, then chances are that that date was the culprit.

Oftentimes men (and women) will avoid being honest with someone they’re dating, when they’re just not feeling it. Unfortunately, there’s not a lot you can do in this situation. If the date went really well but you found him pulling away afterwards, when the two of you started talking, there’s a chance that you either said something that put him off, or, and this is one of the more common reasons guys pull away, you overwhelmed him with too much contact too early in the relationship.
