On the Wrist, from off the Cuff: Battle – Ray II vs. SRP773, Orient vs. Seiko, Price vs. Value

On this episode, we compare two new for 2016 offerings from Japanese giants Seiko and Orient. One is a refresh, while the other a revival. From Orient comes the Ray II now with upgraded hacking and hand-winding movement. From Seiko, we have the highly anticipated Turtle Reissue. Both in blue and on bracelet, both extremely feature rich. The real question is value, on paper the two are pretty evenly matched but in perception many would consider the Turtle in another league. For me they both serve up a different take on their own individual value proposition. The Orient giving you fine details along with great specs at an unbelievable price tag, while the Seiko offers certain intangible qualities along with its specs but at a considerably higher price point.
