On the Wrist, from off the Cuff: 2016 Ray II – FAA02005D, Now with Hacking & Hand-winding movement

On this episode, we take a look at the new for 2016 Ray II. Orient improves on any already impressive model while lightly refreshing a cult-classic. I've gotta say I'm loving the new movement and the overall fit and finish have been noticeably improved overall as well. Although I could appreciate the quirky day pusher of the original model, I don't find myself really missing it on this update. It was already a tough competitor for the SKX007/009 and now with the upgraded movement it makes an even stronger argument, so much so that I think I'll need to compare it to my SRP773 Turtle reissue in a "Battle" video. It's amazing how the few small tweaks applied have had such a great impact on watch as a whole. The best part is the fact that the price hasn't increased commensurately to match the added value. Let me know what you think in the comments below.
