Area and Perimeter of a Sector June 2019 GCSE Maths Higher Tier Paper 2 Question 12

Thanks for watching Garry Teaches Maths. Here we continue to go through the Edexcel June 2019 Maths GCSE Higher Tier Paper 2. This is question 12 and is a question about the area and perimeter of a sector. Here we are given a sector and told its area along with its radius, and asked to work out its perimeter. To do this we first need to work out the angle of the sector, which we can do by rearranging the formula for the area of a sector. Once we have the angle of the sector, we can work out its arc length if we know the formula for the arc length of a sector. Now we have the arc length, we can find the perimeter by adding on the two radii.
