FD RX7 Interior Teardown and $3k in Parts

It is finally time to make much needed progress on the FD RX7. The interior needs a lot of attention and in this video I go over where the car is currently, show you the plans and new parts, and start the teardown. I have accumulated tons of parts of the last year in anticipation of doing a full restore of the interior. With persistent online searching and with the help of a few friends, I have everything I need to make this interior like new again. I will also be converting the JDM rear seats to the USDM rear bins. FD parts are getting scarce and more expensive as time goes on. At the end of the video is a list of all the prices for the parts I have purchased for the interior of my car.

Tips for searching for FD RX7 parts:
1. Search Atkins Rotary Website (link below) for new OEM parts.
2. Make friends with your local Mazda dealership parts department. I have been able to find maybe 1 out of 3 parts I am looking for are still available from Mazda.
3. Facebook RX7 parts groups and marketplace are an awesome resource.
4. Join RX7 forums and website groups (e.g. RX7Club.com). They usually have large for sale sections.
5. When in doubt, ebay.
6. If you are looking for a lot of parts, it may be worth while tracking down a wrecked parts car.
