What Ended Queen Sophia's Reign in Greece?

Queen Sophia of Greece (1870-1932), born Princess Sophie of Prussia, married King Constantine I of Greece in 1889, becoming queen in 1913. Known for her charitable work, she founded hospitals and helped treat wounded soldiers during the Balkan Wars. Her German heritage and familial connections, including her brother, Emperor Wilhelm II, led to political controversies and her eventual exile during World War I. After a brief return to Greece, she spent her final years in exile, dying in Germany in 1932.
