EP44: Wonderful Whitsundays & Airlie Beach | Bowen, Whitsundays, Eungella NP | Lap of Australia 2022

We start the week in lovely Bowen, famous for its delicious Mangos and were just in time for the start of the season and who knew Bowen also had such stunning beaches. We then head for Airlie Beach, we were last here back in April (EP10) for a wedding and we were finally back to spend some time exploring the area.

Unfortunately for us the wet season finally arrived and we were completely washed out, stranded in our caravan for a few days. The rains eventually cleared and we jumped on Whitsunday Getaway to spend a few days sailing around the stunning Whitsunday islands with just us and one other couple on board.

After a few more days in Airlie, we move on to a tiny town called Finch Hatton where we spend a day exploring the beautiful Eungella National Park before making our way to Mackay where we finish this week.
