According to the National Family Health Survey, 49 percent of Indian households have a two-wheeler, 50.4% of the households have a bicycle and only 7 percent of the households have a car. Talking about TV, Fridge and Washing Machine, 68 percent of the households have a TV, 38 percent have a fridge and 18 percent of the households have a washing machine. Only 16 percent of the households have TV, fridge and washing machine. Still 24.7 percent of the households in the country are such that they do not even have a car and two-wheelers, but even a bicycle. Cooler or AC is available with 24 percent of the households. Friends, Punjab is included in those states, where most of the houses have air conditioners or air coolers, 70 percent of the houses in Punjab have coolers or ACs available.
