Taiwanese fuel prices plummet, amid Saudi-Russian price war and COVID-19 pandemic

Global crude oil prices have spiraled downwards for the sixth consecutive week, as both Saudi Arabia and Russia slash prices and increase production and the COVID-19 pandemic dampens demand. Based on a formula for calculating international crude oil prices, fuel prices in Taiwan will be lowered at midnight Sunday night, with gasoline and diesel prices to drop by NT$0.9 and NT$1.0, respectively. The price for 95 unleaded will dip below NT$19 a liter, marking its second lowest price in history.
