Heat is one of the more underrated components of a muscle's performance. An excessively hot muscle has a diminished capacity to produce force. The palms of the hand, due to having a unique vascular structure, are an ideal area to regulate overall body temperature. During a workout, cooling the palms may effectively decrease overall body temperature, increasing muscle performance. In this video, we explore whether palm cooling between sets could enhance work capacity and long-term strength gains.
