How to make Tai Meshi, Japanese Mixed Rice with Snapper

Hi I’m Komainu.
Today I’m gonna share this, How to make tai meshi
《Cooking time》approximately 2 hours

《For 4people, You woll need》 1 tsp=5ml, 1 tbsp=15ml
2 snapper
1 tsp salt
540ml rice
540ml water
1 tbsp ginger (fine strips)
(Seasoning)
1 1/2 tsp katsuo dashi(Japanese powder stock)
2 tbsp Sake
2 tbsp Soy source

《method》
1. rinse rice 4 times
2. place rice & water in pot and leave it over 30mins
3. rinse snpper with running water and wipe with paper towel
4. sprinkle salt and leave it 10 mins
5. grill snapper both side until golden brown
6. add seasoning and snapper into pot
7. bring to boil with high heat (about 7-8mins)
8. reduce to low heat and simmer for 8mins
9. turn the stove off and leave it for 20 mins
10. take snapper out and take born and skin off
11. put fish meat back to pot and mix it with spatular
12. put some fine strips of ginger on top of rice, enjoy!

《cooking tip》
You can use fillet instead of whole fish if you like
