New nurse informatics option in DNP program
Regina Wysocki, RN and UTHealth nursing informatics student, explains how the specialty is improving information management and communications, empowering providers to advance the health of individuals, families, communities and populations. Nursing informatics is the combination of nursing science and health information science and technology that facilitates healthcare decision-making. It’s an interesting, in-demand field. UTHealth School of Nursing now offers a new nurse informatics option in its Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree program. It is the only program of its kind offered in Texas.
