Yesterday everyone was waiting on President Trump to sign the latest stimulus deal.

That stimulus deal includes $600 stimulus checks, $300 per week unemployment, as well as many other provisions.

The $600 stimulus check would go to those on SSI, SSDI, Social Security, and VA Benefits as long as they aren't claimed as a dependent on someone else's taxes.

The House and the Senate both approved the stimulus deal and President Trump was expected to sign it yesterday.

However, he did not do so.

In this video I am going to discuss what President Trump said as to why he didn't sign it, including his plea for $2000 stimulus checks, and where we go from here.

Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin has been directly involved in the stimulus negotiations and President Trump's representative.

It was widely expected that President Trump would sign the stimulus deal... but as the day went on and he hadn't signed it, people started to wonder when he would do so.

Last night he held a press conference to discuss the stimulus package.

He detailed many of the wasteful provisions in the bill and called for a $2000 stimulus check.

President Trump was surprised by this bill and was not happy about all the wasteful spending, while the American people were set to get so little.

Of the $900 billion dollars set aside, only about $167 Billion dollars of that would go out to the American people as stimulus checks.

President Trump then called for $2000 stimulus checks for individuals and $4000 stimulus checks for couples.

Many people have complained that the $600 stimulus checks were not enough.

And for how much money congress is set to spend on this bill, I have to agree with President Trump, it is not enough.

I have been saying that $600 is better than nothing, but if there is a chance for more for the American people without all the wasteful spending, then I'm all for that.

So where do we go from here?

Nancy Pelosi and many of the democrats have come forward since President Trump's speech agreeing that $2000 checks should be giving to the American people.

They didn't say anything about removing any of the wasteful spending however, so if the only change that is made is increasing the amount of stimulus checks to $2000, the total price tag of the bill would grow by a lot.
