SSI SSDI Social Security VA | Second Stimulus Check | Stimulus Checks are Coming!!!

Congress has finally reached a deal on the next stimulus check and stimulus relief package. They are set to vote in the House on this stimulus deal later today. And possibly even in the Senate today.

In this video I am going to go over what's in the stimulus deal, but specifically how much the stimulus check will be, who is eligible, and when we should expect to receive it.

This video will also talk about how the stimulus check will apply to those on SSI, SSDI, Social Security, or VA Benefits.

Yesterday Congress reached a deal on the next stimulus package.

It is expected that both the House and the Senate will vote on this deal today.

They are both eager to leave Washington to begin their Christmas break, but will both vote before they do so.

$600 stimulus checks will be part of this deal.
$300 per week unemployment benefits.
Funding for small businesses through the Paycheck Protection Program.
$25 billion dollars for rental assistance.
$15 billion dollars for theaters and other live venues
$82 billion dollars for schools, colleges, and universities
$10 billion dollars for child care
$22 billion dollars for health related expenses like testing and vaccines

Those are the main parts of the bill.

Let's discuss the stimulus checks.

Stimulus checks will be $600 per person.

Those claimed as dependents on someone else's taxes are eligible.

If you are on SSI, SSDI, Social Security, or VA benefits, you will be eligible for the second stimulus check.

You should receive this stimulus check the same way you received the first stimulus check.

The first stimulus check only gave $500 per dependent, but this time each dependent should get $600

There is no limit to the number of dependents that a family can receive stimulus checks.

So if they have more than three dependents, then they would receive more stimulus checks than the first round.

The income limits are $75,000 dollars for single filers and $150,000 for joint filers.

After those amounts the $600 is phased out, much like the first stimulus checks.

If you changed your address and you received a paper check for the first stimulus check, you need to file a change of address with the IRS and the USPS.

I'm sure there will be more details about changing your address once this deal is signed, hopefully at the latest tomorrow.

If you did not receive the first stimulus check, but were eligible, you will need to file taxes in 2021 to claim your first stimulus check.

If you received your first stimulus check and have not changed addresses or bank accounts, you shouldn't need to do anything for the second stimulus check.

If you changed bank accounts, I'm sure there will be information about what you need to do to receive your second stimulus check.

There is still no word on back child support from what I have seen.

The IRS should be sending out stimulus checks the same way they sent them out the first time.

If you received your first stimulus check via direct deposit, you should receive it by direct deposit this time as well.

If you received the first stimulus check after filling out the non-filers tool, you shouldn't have to fill out the non-filers tool again this time.

Now the IRS should know where to send your check, so it should go much more smoothly this time.

If they can approve the deal today and President Trump signs it tomorrow, we should start to see the first stimulus checks going out electronically by about the first of the year.
