1) Diabolik: The comic character Diabolik was invented in 1962. A master of disguise and thief, he and his companion Eva Kant were instantly popular. In fact, new comics are still released today!

2) Tex Willer: Star of the Tex comic series, Tex Willer is a ranger from the American Wild West. Monthly issues of his adventures have been released since 1948.

3) Topo Gigio: Italy's version of Mickey Mouse, Topo Gigio is a big-eared mouse who goes on adventures. Since the 1960s, he's been a huge part of Italian childhoods with shows, magazines, and toys!

4) Sandokan: Originally created in 1883, Sandokan is the Pirate star of 11 novels, 8 films, and two TV series!

5) Pinocchio: Since 1881, Pinocchio's adventures as a long-nosed puppet who just wants to be a real boy have been a part of every Italian's childhood.
