Protests outside US Embassy in Beirut turn violent
Protests have broken out across the Middle East and Africa after nearly 500 people were killed in a hospital explosion in Gaza, with the most violent clashes taking place outside the US Embassy in Beirut.
Protesters can be seen throwing stones as smoke envelops streets.
Rallies have also been held in solidarity with Palestine in major cities in Tunisia, Egypt, Lebanon and Yemen.
This follows a call from Hezbollah for an 'unprecedented day of rage' in response to the hospital explosion, for which it and Hamas blame Israel.
Israel denies responsibility, saying it was a misfired rocket by rival terrorist group Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
