Wordwall is one of the most impressive technologies that I have recently seen. I have been presenting it at online conferences and it has proved very popular with language teachers. World War allows you to create interactive activities based around different aspects of language learning. There is a whole variety of different activity types including word order, quizzes, true or false, grouping activities, categorise activities etc. what is particularly good about wordwall is that it's just so easy to create the activities. In most cases you simply writing the sentences all the words that you want to work with click on the done button and the activities are ready to use.

the free version of wordwall allows you to create up to 5 different activity types for free. the great thing about these activity types is that you can edit and then use them again. so I've been using the free version of Word wall for about 6-months now and continually edit the game so that I can use them in different context. I really like the visual aspect of word wall as well as the simplicity of the games.

all of the games in word will I built really for language learning it could be of course working as the first language or it could be obviously focusing on the language as a foreign language to learn for foreign students. another very strong aspect about World War is that it tracks all the activity of the students and gives you detailed results. So you can see which students got which questions correct how quickly they completed the activities and where you need to focus your own teaching and learning. you get the complete results information with the free tool too.

what I also like about wordwall ways that you can use it both in an online teaching context or with your students in a face-to-face class. If you're looking for quick fun activities that get the students to check their understanding, to see that they followed what you've been teaching them, then wordwall is an ideal tool. It really is about formative assessment. What I like about the formative assessment options that word wall offers is that firstly there's a huge variety of them, secondly that you get immediate feedback on the results and thirdly that they're so simple to make.

there is a paid tool for word wall and eventually I decided to pay for it. it does give you access to an unlimited number of games rather than being limited to just using 5. However my suggestion is to try out the free tour first work with that and see if you think it's worth spending the money to have the full technology.

check out the leaderboard as well when the students do the activities they can add their name to the leaderboard and therefore you know who got the best scores who finished quickest etc. I totally recommend this technology for language teachers it's ideal for teaching basically any language.
