#shorts From its inception as inspiration triggered by a monochromatic painting by Yves Klein, The Sky Is Mine by Gaurav Jai Gupta is a culmination of Akaaro’s story of evolution—distinct and firm in its design vocabulary while looking ahead at the future of textiles in India. And in his first fashion showcase in five years, Akaaro picked good company with the Noida outstation of the Kiran Nadar Museum of Art and its group exhibition titled, ‘Inner Life Of Things: Around Anatomies
And Armatures’, comprising works of 15 artists playing host. A venue bathed in the shade of blue that Gupta intended to celebrate greeted guests as soon after, models walked out to thumping electronic beats to showcase over 45 looks that the designer conceptualised, implemented and worked on for years.
