why are farm businesses not making enough money to support families

Why are farm businesses not making enough money to support farming families?

Why is it that we never have a clue what we will actually make money wise on any livestocks sales until the day we sell them?

Is this good business? I am open to conversations about this!

For me this is something that I have been working on in our own family since becoming a mum, yet still the figures dont add up!

The government just aren't seeing the bigger picture i dont think, and this is to who's detriment?

And as for the poor farming families who are right now in a position that they cant change over to Universal Credits because they may not have access to the farm bank accounts, or its just going to be to much hassle every month to sit down and work out the income and outgoings, my heart literally goes out to them .
