Albanese ‘brittle’ when challenged by journalists: Sharma

Liberal MP Dave Sharma says Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has shown during his campaign he is “not up to the task” of being prime minister.

Mr Sharma said the media has revealed Mr Albanese’s colleagues “have doubts” about his ability to lead the country.

“He’s not across his brief, he’s not across the details, he’s brittle when challenged, he has to defer to his colleagues as sort of heat shields to guard him from questions from journalists,” Mr Sharma told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“If you haven’t done the homework, if you haven’t done the basic preparation, if you don’t know what you’re asking Australians to vote for, how could you possibly put yourself forward as leader.”
