Winter Storm: Mamdani Says NYC to Get Over Foot of Snow

New York City is expected to get more than a foot of snow this weekend, with Central Park possibly getting as much as 16 inches of snow.

The National Weather Service said confidence is increasing for a winter storm to impact the region Sunday through Monday, with a significant snowfall possible.

More than 2,000 sanitation workers will be working 12-hour shifts to prepare for and respond to the storm, with a liquid salt solution being applied to roadways across the city starting on Friday morning.
