Baker Cyst (Popliteal Cyst) | Why They Occur, Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment

Baker’s cysts are the most common cause of a “mass” behind the knee. They arise from a collection of fluid behind the knee due to a variety of structural anatomical knee issues (including knee osteoarthritis). In this lesson, we discuss the pathophysiology behind Baker’s cysts, the signs and symptoms (and consequences), how they are diagnosed and how they are treated by clinicians.
