Weird Symptoms of Crohn’s Disease | Atypical Clinical Features | Skin, Mouth, Joints, Organ Systems

Crohn’s disease is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) that can affect the entire gastrointestinal tract, anywhere from the mouth to the perianal region. Hallmark gastrointestinal findings include right-lower quadrant abdominal pain, frequent watery diarrhea, bloating and flatulence and weight loss. However, Crohn’s disease can also lead to atypical or weird signs and symptoms that include extra-intestinal manifestations that show up on the skin, mouth, joints and particular organ systems of the body, which we discuss in this lesson.
