N&W 475- is a 4-8-0 "M" Class Locomotive built by Baldwin in 1906, and used on the Norfolk and Western Railroad Hauling freight and Coal trains, until her retirement in 1956. It 1957 and 1958, she was made to look like a 19th century Steam Locomotive, with a fake Diamond Stack and a Gas Headlight and pulled the "Salem Shifter", and later sold to scrap in Virginia, when 475 was saved and was later brought to the Illinois Railroad Museum, and later Boone Scenic Railroad in the 1980s. Then finally Strasburg Railroad purchased 475 in 1991, and was Restored in 1993 to operate. Ever since then she has been Operating in Strasburg. In 2019, the Headlight was moved to the Center of the boiler front, with a Nice look!
